2. Scope and purpose of processing personal data

2.1 Launching the website

When calling up the websites www.franchiseexpofrankfurt.de and fex.online the Internet browser used by the visitor automatically sends data to the server of these websites and stores them temporarily in a log file. Until routine deletion, the following data is stored without further input from the visitor:

  • IP address of the visitor's terminal device
  • Date and time of access by the visitor,
  • Name and URL of the page called by the visitor,
  • Website from which the visitor accesses the Franchise Expo websites (so-called referrer URL),

The processing of this personal data is justified in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO. The expo organizer has a justified interest in the processing of data for the purpose of

  • quickly establish a connection to the event's website,
  • to enable a user-friendly application of the website,
  • to recognize and guarantee the security and stability of the systems and
  • to facilitate and improve the administration of the website.


The processing is expressly not carried out for the purpose of gaining personally-identifying information on the website visitor.

2.2 Registration as an exhibitor or visitor

We collect the following data: Personal information and contact details:

  • Name data (first name, surname, title)
  • Personal details (gender)
  • Contact information (street, postal code, city, state, e-mail address, phone number)
  • Customer profile (industry, function in the company, registrations, participation in events)

Within the scope of our business relationship, we collect and store data that you yourself have provided, including the fact that you have registered for an event and participated in it. In addition, we sometimes supplement the telephone number from public sources.

Visitors can register as an exhibitor or expo visitor using a contact form on the website. By sending the message via the contact form, the visitor consents to the processing of the personal data provided. The data will be processed solely for the purpose of visitor and exhibitor registration for the event. This is done based on the voluntarily given consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a) DSGVO. The personal data of the exhibitors collected for the use of the contact form will generally be stored for as long as statutory storage obligations exist or the storage is necessary for the fulfilment of our statutory duties. The data of expo visitors will be deleted 1 year after the expo at the end of the year.

2.3 Newsletter

Exhibitors and registered expo visitors will receive information relevant to the expo by newsletter prior to the event, provided that the visitor has registered for this. The visitor can unsubscribe from receiving future newsletters at any time. This can be done by using a special link at the end of the newsletter or by sending an appropriate message to [email protected].

3. Transfer of data

Personal data is transferred to third parties if

  • the person concerned has expressly consented to it in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a) DSGVO
  • the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DPA is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that the data subject has an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing his or her data,
  • the data transmission according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter c) DSGVO is a legal obligation, and/or
  • this is necessary for the performance of a contractual relationship with the data subject pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b) DSGVO.

In other cases, personal data will not be passed on to third parties.

4. Cookies

7. Analytic services for websites, tracking

7.1 Google Analytics

The Websites www.franchiseexpofrankfurt.de and fex.online use functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics as well as Google Maps API, both services of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

The service uses "cookies" - text files which are stored on your end device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

7.2 Facebook-Pixel

The websites www.franchiseexpofrankfurt.de and fex.online use the LinkedIn Insight tag from LinkedIn, a social media network of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

The code implemented on the websites www.franchiseexpofrankfurt.de and fex.online site can evaluate the behavior of visitors who came to the site via a LinkedIn advertisement. This can be used to improve LinkedIn advertisements and this information is collected and stored by LinkedIn.
